Charlton JACKSON, 87, of Banks County, Homer, GA died
April 9, 1980. Born in Banks County, GA, he was a son of the late John Newton
and Mary Carter Jackson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Coker Jackson.
Surviving are four grandchildren. Graveside services were held April 10, 1980
at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. R. G. Schwanebeck.
Ivie Funeral Home of Commerce, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
Allie Mae Bell Murray JONES, 88, of Gastonia, NC
died November 2, 2001 in Kings Mountain, NC. She was a native of Banks County,
GA, the daughter of the late Lela York and Doom Murray. In addition to her parents
she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis H. Jones; brothers, Quillian, Prue
and Roy Murray. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Hugh and Pansy Jones,
Ray and Carolyn Jones; sister, Leola Chambers; grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held November 6, 2001 at Carothers funeral Home with the
Rev. John Bridges officiating. Interment was in Gaston Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rosa Belle Westmoreland Jones, 76, of Hwy 51 South, Lula, died Saturday,
November 1, 2003, at her residence. Mrs. Jones was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Banks
County and was the daughter of Lois Forrester Westmoreland and the late Patrick
Henry Westmoreland. She was the wife of the late William Horace Jones and was
preceded in death by her son, Wayne Jones. She was a member of Mount Carmel
Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Barbara
Jones, Lula, daughter, Kathy Hardman Jones, Lula, and brother, Bobby Westmoreland.
Funeral services were held November 3, 2003 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with
burial in the church cemetery.

Reuben H. JORDAN, 82, November 27, 2001, in Banks
County, Lula, GA. Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Dock and Rose
Crocker Jordan. and was of the Holiness faith. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by sisters, Ida Jordan, Lillie Watkins, and Suler Wade.
Surviving are wife, Viola Stowe Jordan; son, Wendell Jordan; sister, Christine
Jordan; brother, Roger Jordan; grandchildren; great-grandchild. Services November
29, 2001 from the Rock Springs Baptist Church by the Revs. Gary Olsteen and David
Harbin. Burial was in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Whitfield Funeral
Home, South Chapel, of Baldwin, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
