Minnie Anderson RAGSDALE, 94, died July 14, 1981 in Stephens County, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Will R. Ragsdale. Born in Banks County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Tom E. and Tina Cash Anderson. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Billy Andrews, Mrs. Flora R. Kennedy, Mrs. Sylvia R. Wilson, Edith Ragsdale, Mrs. Mildred R. Worrell; son, Tom Ragsdale; brother, Burch Anderson; sisters, Miss Gertrude Anderson, Mrs. Bertie Brady; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 17, 1981 at Damascus Baptist Church by layman Warren Wilson and the Revs. Walter Boone and Donald Andrews. Interment was in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. Whitfield-Perkins Funeral Home of Cornelia, GA was in charge of the arrangements.

Tom RAGSDALE, 76, died October 27, 1987, in Baldwin. Mr. Ragsdale, the son of the late Will R. and Minnie Anderson Ragsdale, was born in Banks County. He was a retired truck driver for Carwood Manufacturing Company and a Baptist. Surviving are his wife, Ruby Mealor Ragsdale; daughter, Mrs. Eloise Howington; sisters, Mrs. Billy (Myrtle) Andrews, Mrs. John (Flora) Kennedy, Miss Edith Ragsdale and Mrs. Sylvia Wilson, Mrs. Mildred Worrel;one granddaughter. Whitfield Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Services were conducted by the Rev. Mike Campbell with burial in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

SERGEANT MAJOR DOYLE F. REYNOLDS Sergeant Major Doyle F. Reynolds, 42, of Scottsville, KY, passed away June 23, 1973, after a boating accident in Glasgow, KY. He was born in Central City, KY., on September 6, 1930, the son of Eldridge M. and Flossie Piper Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his father. He was a 22 year Army veteran. He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He taught at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta for many years. After retiring, he taught ROTC at R.E. Lee High School in Thomaston, GA. Among his decorations and service metals, he received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, 2 Soldier's Metals, and the Legion of Merit. He is survived by wife, Betty Jean Newsome Reynolds; daughter, Cathy Ann; son, Mark, all of Scottsville, KY; mother, Flossie Piper Reynolds; brothers, Eldridge and Eugene; sisters, Wanda Hamilton and Joyce Dix all of Central City, KY; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in Central City, KY., on June 26th and at Castellaw Funeral Home in Smyrna, GA., on the 28th. The Fort McPherson Army Chaplain officiated the funeral. Interment was in the Georgia Memorial Gardens in Marietta, GA., with full Military Honors.

Lillie Crowe RICE, 85, died March 11, 1974 in Hart County, GA. She was a native of Banks County, GA, a daughter of the late Randolph and Nancy Bond Crowe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin M. Rice. Survivors include sons, Alvin, Dewitt, Dorsey, Curtis, Garnett and Olin Rice; daughter, Mrs. Orlena Webb; sisters, Mrs. Lila Barnes, Mrs. Jessie Fitzpatrick, Mrs. Vanna Simmons, Mrs. Argie Bennett, Mrs. Nelle Adams and Mrs. Nora Wyatt; brothers, D. L. Crowe and R. H. Crowe; grandchildren; great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on March 13, 1974 at Hudson River Baptist Church by Revs. Oscar Anderson and Wade H. Lord and Dr. C. Raymond Wilson. Interment was in the Hudson River Baptist Church Cemetery.

Robert Freeman RICE, 82, died January 4, 1939 in Banks County, GA. He is survived by brothers, T. J. and Albert Rice; sister, Mrs. Edna Chasteen. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Paul Webb. Interment was in the Ausburn Family Cemetery.

George Preston RYLEE, 64, of Gainesville, GA died August 31, 2001. Born November 22, 1936, in Banks County, GA, he was the son of the late Grover and Buris Lewallen Rylee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Riley Rylee; brothers, G. H. Rylee and Otis Rylee. Survivors include daughter, Gayle Rylee; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Chris Pope; son and daughter-in-law, Preston and Teresa Rylee; grandchildren, Michelle, Lauren and Stephen Pope, Carolyn and Stephanie Rylee; sisters, Floy Elliott and Lucille Rylee. Funeral services were held September 2, 2001, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Pope officiating. Interment was in Banks Memorial Gardens. Little-Ward Funeral Home of Commerce, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
