William Henry Weld

Dec 27,1844 - March 3, 1865

A Confederate soldier of Homer,

Ga left delirious and dying at the avenue gate

to Tippicophaw Plantation.

Found and cared for by the

Weeks family until death released

his brave soul from suffering.

 

Age 15 in 1860 Banks Census.

Son of Calvin and Sarah A. Weld

and brother of Luther T. Weld,

Co A 24th GA infantry.

29th GA fought at Vicksburg and

suffered heavy Casualties.

His father, Calvin Weld,

was a schoolteacher in Banks County.
