New Birth Baptist Church was established in 1987. It was once the home of Patricia Mauldin Gailey (deceased). She had always wanted a church in her neighborhood and after her sudden death (aneurysm) her husband turned the home they had been building into a church. It is a small church with only a handful of active members. There are only four graves in the cemetery, three babies and Patricia's dad. The current pastor is James Holden. It is located on Deer Crest Drive in Banks Co. (it has a Baldwin address) just off of Otis Brown Road.
