Whereas application in proper form has been made to have
James Norwood appointed guardian of the persons and property of Cordelia A.
Ray, James J. Ray and William Sebastian Ray minors residing in said County
and the said James Norwood has duly delivered the bond secured according to
the order of the Court of Ordinary for the guardianship of the persons and
property of Cordelia A. Ray, James J. Ray and William Sebastian Ray and takng
the required oath of office this is to show that said James Norwood is entitled
to all powers and privileges of general guardian of Cordelia A. Ray, James
J. Ray and William Sebastian Ray, that said James Norwood as such guardian
is to safely keep the estate of the minors to collect and deliver the same
to them when they become of age, that he is to render a Just and true account
of all the estate which he may receive that he James Norwood is to inquire
and receive all the estate of said wards which by law he ought to do so that
he said James Norwood is to maintain and educate said orphans and protect
their persons and in all respects discharge the duties of a guardian by making
proper returns and whatever else the law require of guardians.
In witness whereof I Fountain G. Moss Ordinary of said County
and Exofficio Clerk have hereunto set my hand and seal of Office this 4th
July 1859
