Howard H. ECHOLS, 63, died September 22, 2001. A native of Banks County, GA, Mr. Echols was a son of the late Henry Harrison and Eunice Eloise Kimsey Echols. He was a Vietnam War veteran and served in the Army Reserves. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Mason Echols; daughter, Maria Echols Wilson; sisters, Jane Murphy, Dorothy Merle Turner and Martha Kinsey; brothers, Thomas H. and Wendell Echols; granddaughter. Funeral services were held September 25, 2001 at Enon Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Morris and Loyd Martin officiating. Interment was in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. Whitfield Funeral Home, South, of Baldwin, GA.

EVELYN MIZE ENGLISH Mrs. Evelyn Mize English, 83, of Clarkesville, died Monday, December 30, 2002 at a private nursing home after an extended illness. Mrs. English was born in Banks County on June 16, 1919, a daughter of the late Ernest D MIZE and Icie AYERS MIZE. Funeral services were held om Thursday January 2, 2003, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest with burial in Yonah Memorial Gardens. Mrs. English is survived by her husband, Luther Eugene English, Clarkesville, daughter Teresa English Dean, Demorest, son Ronald Eugene English, Laguna Niguel CA, brother, Henry Mize, Homer. Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, was in charge of arrangements..


John Calvin ENGLISH, 67, died January 16, 1977. A lifelong resident of Banks County, GA, he was a member of Bethany Christian Church. Surviving are brothers, Marvin, Swayne, Floyd and Elmer English; sisters, Mrs. Lois M. Poole and Mrs. Aleene Poole. Services were January 18, 1977 at Bethany Christian Church by the Revs. Arthur Howard and Ben Blake. Burial was in the Bethany Christian Church Cemetery. Whitfield-Perkins Funeral Home in Cornelia, GA was in charge of the arrangements.

Maggie Lou ENGLISH, 73, of Banks County, Homer, GA died November 23, 1975 in Clarke County, GA. She was a native of Banks County, GA, a daughter of the late Noah and Eula Garrison English. Survivors include brothers; John, Marvin, Swayne, Floyd and Elmer English; sisters, Mrs. French Poole and Mrs. Swain Poole. Funeral services were held November 24, 1975 at Bethany Christian Church by the Rev. Jimmy Grubbs. Interment was in the Bethany Christian Church Cemetery. Ivie Funeral Home of Commerce, GA was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include sisters, Mrs. Lois Poole and Alene Poole; brother, Marvin English. Funeral services were held November 27, 1983 at Bethany Christian Church by the Rev. Estee Taylor. Interment was in the Bethany Christian Church Cemetery. Whitfield-Perkins Funeral Home of Cornelia, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
