RUTH NAOMI LEWALLEN KAISER Mrs. Ruth Naomi Lewallen Kaiser, 69, of Marietta, passed away Friday, July 27, 1984. She was born in Banks County on June 24, 1915, a daughter of the late Noah Lumpkin and Ruthie Sheridan Lewallen. In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband George Emory Newsome; husband Ed Kaiser; sister, Alma Arrowood; brother, Johnie Tatum Lewallen. She is survived by daughters, Ruth Virginia Karolyi, Smyrna, Betty Jean Reynolds, Frances Phillips, Marietta, Eva Brown, Mableton; son, Noah Eugene Newsome, Doraville; stepmother, Lillie Wood Lewallen, Baldwin; sister, Mary Etta Norton, Toccoa; 12 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 29, 1984, at the Concord Church of God in Smyrna, with Rev. Gross officiating. Music by Steve Darmonady. Interment was in the Georgia Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marietta, GA. Castellaw Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

CHARLES CECIL KAROLYI Mr. Charles Cecil Karolyi, 86, of Acworth, GA, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cartersville, Ga He was a son of the late Charles and Annie Cecil Karolyi, of Greenville, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Evelyn Thomas; brothers, Caroll and Alva Karolyi. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Virginia Newsome Karolyi; two sons, David Edward, Acworth, Charles Curtis and daughter in-law Cathy Eilene Karolyi, Smyrna; sister, Joy Clawson of Greenville, SC, several nieces and nephew. Mr. Karolyi attended Spartanburg Junior College and Auburn University before going to work at Lockheed Martin, where he retired in 1979. He served as a Aircraft Pilot in World War II. He was a life time member of the American Legion Post 709 in Smyrna, GA. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at 2pm, in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Stuart and Elder Ira Pound Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Georgia Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Marietta, GA. with full military honors. Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home of Kennesaw, GA were in charge of arrangements.

James KELLEY, 66, died March 25, 1963 in Stephens County, GA. Mr. Kelley was born in Banks County, GA, a son of the late Tom and Mary Blackburn Kelley. Survivors include brother, Carl Kelley; sisters, Mrs. Will Brady and Mrs. Charlie Meeler. Funeral services were held March 27, 1963 at Lamar Christian Church with the Rev. Furman Anderson officiating. Interment was in the Blackburn Family Cemetery. McGahee Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Sara KELLEY, 63, died April 14, 1978 in Stephens County, GA. She was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Lady Blackburn Kelley, and a native of Banks County, GA. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Margie McCroskey. Funeral services were held April 16, 1978 at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home by Lt. Donald Canning and Major Mary Peacock. Interment was in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Acree-Davis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Frank Thomas KELLY, 75, died January 11, 1971 in Stephens County, GA. A son of the late Robert H. and Rhodie Coker Kelly, he was born February 5, 1895 in Banks County, GA. Survivors include his wife, Violet Simmons Kelly; son, Buford Kelly; daughters, Mrs. Pete Bentley, Miss Mozelle Kelly, Mrs. Joe P. Smith, Mrs. Paul A. Brewer, Mrs. Arthur Yearwood; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Judson Simmons, Mrs. Claude Powell, Mrs. Bill Farmer. Funeral services were held January 13, 1971 at Tates Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. J. Russell Newell, James Byrd, and Virgil Cleveland officiating. Interment was in the Tates Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Acree-Davis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Violet Simmons KELLY, 80, died May 17, 1977 in Stephens County, GA. Born in Banks County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Dan and Eula Smith Simmons. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank T. Kelly. Survivors include daughters, Miss Moselle Kelly, Mrs. Pete Bentley, Mrs. Lucille Brewer, Mrs. Joe P. Smith, Mrs. Arthur Yearwood; son, Buford Kelly; brothers, Ben Jones Simmons, Garnet Simmons; grandchildren; great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on May 19, 1977 at Tates Creek Baptist Church by the Revs. Virgil Cleveland, David Ledford and Everett Brady. Interment was in the Tates Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Acree-Davis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

John Broadus KESLER, 72, of Smyrna, GA died January 16, 1979. Born in Banks County, GA, he was a son of the late Sam and Emma Payne Kesler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Mulkey Kesler. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Labinia Reeves; sister, Mrs. Lorene Addison; brothers, Winston, Herschel, Ondie and Oneal Kesler; grandsons. Funeral services were held January 18, 1979 at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. John Deniker. Interment was in the Toccoa City Cemetery. Funeral services were June 1, 1971 at Prospect Methodist Church with the Revs. Charles Davis and Elton Lane officiating. Burial was in the Prospect Methodist Church Cemetery. William Arthur KESLER, 85, of Carnesville, GA, died January 9, 1968 in Commerce, GA. Mr. Kesler was born in Banks County, GA, son of the late Oliver and Arminda Acree Kesler. Funeral services were held November 23, 1982 at Lamar Christian Church with the Rev. Charles Savage officiating. Interment was in the Lamar Christian Church Cemetery.

James Grover KING, 85, died April 4, 2001 in Baldwin, GA. He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph & Mamie Shore King; sister, Dixie Welchel; brother, George King. Services were April 6, 2001 at the South Chapel of Whitfield Funeral Home in Baldwin, GA. Interment was in Level Grove Cemetery with funeral arrangements by the South Chapel of Whitfield Funeral Home.
