Annie Sue Andrews SAVAGE, 74, of Toccoa, GA, died
July 20, 2002. A native of Banks County, GA, Mrs. Savage was a daughter of the
late Carson and Theo Kelley Andrews. She was a member of Toccoa Christian Church.
Survivors include husband, Jack Savage; sons, Gene and James Savage; brother,
Vernon Andrews; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services were July 21,
2002 at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark
Hassler officiating. Interment was in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were
Billy Andrews, Scottie Andrews, Lane Andrews, Watson Ramsey, Winston Farmer and
Edward Kelley. Acree-Davis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Larry Douglas SEGARS, 58, of 118 Cely Road, Easley,
SC died August 15, 2001. A native of Banks County, GA, Mr. Segars was the son
of Ruby Purcell Segars and the late William Elvin Segars. He was the owner of
Carolina Rod Shop and a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Survivors
include: sons, Donnie Ball and Andy Segars, Easley, S.C.; brothers, James and
Nelson Segars. Funeral services were held August 17, 2001 at New Salem United
Methodist Church. Interment was in New Salem United Methodist Church cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Wilda Prickett SEGARS, 90, died September 1, 2001
in Commerce, GA. Mrs. Segars, a native of Banks County, GA and the daughter of
the late William Stairett and Junia Lord Prickett, was preceded in death by her
husband Rothel Wade Segars and a daughter, Shirley Segars Richardson. Survivors
include son, Ray Richardson; granddaughters, Shari Sewell, Lori Smith, and Rene
Breedlove; five great-grandchildren. Services were on September 2, 2001 at Beaverdam
Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Pruitt officiating. Burial was in the Beaver
Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. Little-Ward Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Loyce Purcell SEYMOUR, 88, of Elbert County, Dewy
Rose, GA died January 20, 2002. A native of Banks County, GA, Mrs. Seymour was
the daughter of the late Walton and Sarah Caudell Purcell. She was a member of
Dewy Rose Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Guy H. Seymour Sr.; daughter,
Linda Byers; sons, Guy H. Seymour Jr. and Walton Seymour; sisters, Annette Jarrett,
Dot Camp and Louella Crowder; brothers, Harold and Kyle Purcell; grandchildren.
Services were January 22, 2002 at Hicks Funeral Home with the Revs. Gary Purvis
and J. V. Chambers officiating. Interment was in Dewy Rose Baptist Church Cemetery.

Woodruff S. C.-Jack E. Sheridan, 50, died at Columbia Veterans Hospital 9:30 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 26, 1964) after a long illness. He was the son of the late Jack and Sally Sheridan Sheridan; veteran of World War II. John Chalmus Sheridan, 68, died Thursday, September 27, 2001, in a Florida hospital. A native of Banks County, Mr. Sheridan had lived in Florida for the past 30 years. He was a son of the late Howard Sheridan and the late Bessie Kimbrell Sheridan. Mr. Sheridan was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 30, in the chapel of Williams White Columns Funeral Home, Milledgeville. Burial was in the Georgia Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Milledgeville. Survivors include four daughters, Lynn Harris and Shelly Stalker, both of Crawfordville, Fa., and Kim Noe and Stacy Ruutel, both of Springlake, N. Eunice Morris SHERIDAN, 73, died December 8, 2000
in Gainesville GA. She was born August 20, 1927 in Banks County, GA, the daughter
of the late Frank and Adell Forrester Morris. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Amos W. F. Sheridan; son, Willard Holloway. Survived by daughter, Vickie
Venable; brothers, Coleman and Robert Morris; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Sheridan was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and is buried in the Mt.
Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements were by Little Ward Funeral Home
of Commerce, GA.

Bessie Faye Broome SIMMONS, 81, of Cornelia, GA died
May 1, 1982. She was a native of Banks County, GA and a member of the Leatherwood
Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Simmons. Survivors
include daughters, Mrs. Catherine Rice and Mrs. Gwynn Clark; sons, Edwin and Amos
Simmons; grandchildren; great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 3,
1982 at the Leatherwood Baptist Church with the Revs. Dan Eller, Glenn Ward and

Clark SIMMONS, 68, died January 19, 1957 in Baldwin,
GA. Mr. Simmons was born in Banks County, GA, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.

Eula Clifford Smith SIMMONS, 79, died January 21,
1959 in Toccoa, GA. She was born May 28, 1877 in Murray County, GA, the daughter
of the late William Floyd and Sarah Elizabeth Broome Smith. She was a member of
the Leatherwood Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter, Mrs. Frank Kelley;
sons, Garnett, Lewis and Ben Jones Simmons; brother, V.H. Smith; grandchildren;

Garnett SIMMONS, 78, of Baldwin, GA died October 2,
1977. He was born in Banks County, GA, a son of the late Don and Eula Smith Simmons.
He was a member of the Baldwin Church of God. Survivors include sons, Coy, Reece,
Roy and Clyde Simmons; daughters, Mrs. Woodrow Simmemon and Mrs. Ralph Eller;
brother, Ben J. Simmons; grandchildren; great-grandchildren. Funeral services

Judson SIMMONS, 77, of the New Hope Community, Toccoa,
GA died December 22, 1972. He was born in Banks County, GA on June 26, 1895 the
son of the late Alex and Emily Mealor Simmons. He was a member of the Lamar Christian
Church. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ellen
Kelly Simmons. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. George Palmer and Mrs. Harold
Crawford; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Howard Echols. Funeral
services were held December 24, 1972 at the Tate�s Creek Baptist Church with Rev.
J. Russell Newell and Rev. Virgil Cleveland officiating. Interment was in the

Martha Broome SIMMONS, 91, of the Hollingsworth Community,
Banks County, GA died October 7, 1987. She was born in Banks County, GA, the daughter
of the late S. T. and Fannie Simon Broome. She was a member of the Leatherwood
Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Cleve Simmons. Survivors include daughters, Mozelle Simmons and Fanneal Mathis;
son, Grover Simmons; brother, Wilson Broome; sisters, Mrs. Minnie Brock and Mrs.

6, 1962. She was a native of Banks County, GA where she had lived all her life.

by her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Doode {�Dude�} Brown and her husband, Clark Simmons.
Survivors include son, Clarence; daughter, Mrs. Randolph Savage; sister, Mrs.

Nancy Ellen Kelly SIMMONS, 82, of the New Hope Community,
Toccoa, GA died September 15, 1971. The daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Robert
Herbert Kelly, she was born in Banks County, GA on February 13, 1889. She was
a member of the Lamar Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Judson
Simmons, daughters, Mrs. George Palmer, Mrs. Harold Crawford; grandchildren; great-grandchildren;
sisters, Mrs. Hepsie Powell, Mrs. Eula Farmer. Funeral services were held September
18, 1971 at Tate's Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Virgil Cleveland, J. Russell

Thomas Alex SIMMONS, 77, died February 16, 1950 in
Alto, GA. Mr. Simmons was born and raised in Banks County, GA. Survivors include

Echols; brothers, Will, Jep, Clark, Cleve and George Simmons. Funeral services

15, 2002. She was born in Banks County, GA on November 11, 1919, the daughter
of the late Mel C. and Mae Pritchett Meeks. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Jesse Sims; sons, Dan and Michael Davis; sister, Irene Morris. Survivors include
daughters, Mazel Garrison, Robbin Chitwood, Joyce Peyton and Melody Wilson; sons,
Phillip, Dwayne and Jeff Davis; brother, Fred Meeks; sister, Jurelle Smelley;

of the late Albert and Mittie Wiley Bray. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by
her husband, Harvey Hobe Smith; daughter, Patricia Dorsey. Survivors include sons;
