W. W. Threlkeld, a well-known citizen of Banks County, committed
suicide this morning by cutting his throat. No cause has been assigned for this act, which has created much
sensation throughout this section. Mr.
Threlkeld was a successful farmer and a prominent Mason.
Arising early this morning, Mr. Threlkeld kindled the fire
and did various little chores about the house.
When the other members of the family had dressed for breakfast he was
found in a room with a deep gash across his throat.
