W. W. Threlkeld, a well-known citizen of Banks County, committed suicide this morning by cutting his throat. No cause has been assigned for this act, which has created much sensation throughout this section. Mr. Threlkeld was a successful farmer and a prominent Mason.

Arising early this morning, Mr. Threlkeld kindled the fire and did various little chores about the house. When the other members of the family had dressed for breakfast he was found in a room with a deep gash across his throat.

Additional Comment: Wyly J. Threlkeld (not W. W.) was born in Madison County, Ga., on August 11 1855 to Julia Ann Threlkeld. He married Eliza J. Brooks January 28, 1875 and resided in Banks County until his death on Feb. 7 1912
